    Our AI tutor is powered by Claude, developed by Anthropic. Claude is a large language model designed to be helpful, harmless, and honest.

    When you interact with Noddle:

    1. You speak or type your questions and responses
    2. Your input is sent to our AI system along with relevant context (topic, your learning progress, uploaded documents)
    3. The AI generates an educational response tailored to your level and learning style
    4. The response is delivered via text-to-speech and on-screen

    Our AI can:

    • Explain concepts across many subjects and topics
    • Adapt explanations to your learning level (from beginner to advanced)
    • Remember context from your current and previous learning sessions
    • Generate practice questions, quizzes, and assessments

    4. AI Limitations

    Important: Our AI has limitations you should be aware of:

    • May be inaccurate: AI may occasionally produce incorrect information
    • Not comprehensive: Responses may not cover every aspect of a topic

    • Knowledge cutoff: AI may not have information about very recent events
    • No physical actions: AI cannot perform actions in the real world
    • Context limits: Very long conversations may exceed AI context limits

    6. Your Data and AI Training

    Your conversations are NOT used to train AI models.

    Anthropic's API terms prohibit training on customer data. Your interactions with Noddle are used only to provide and improve our service to you—not to train foundational AI models.

    7. Voice Processing

    Voice input is processed using OpenAI's Whisper model for advanced speech-to-text with automatic language detection. Your audio is sent securely to OpenAI's servers for transcription and is not stored after processing.

    Whisper supports over 50 languages and can automatically detect which language you're speaking, making Noddle accessible to learners worldwide.

    Text-to-speech output is generated by ElevenLabs to provide natural-sounding British voices for audio responses.

    8. Transparency Commitments
